See the light on your face, let it shine.

I'm officially off work until the 11th of June! We seem to have done A LOT today, we popped out for lunch (which is surprisingly very hard when your gluten free and veggie), then on a whim went to seen American Pie. American Pie never gets old! We then got to see the Olympic Torch, I am sooo excited for the Olympics now!!

Yey!! It literally was there just enough time for us to get a photo, then off it went again. I'm hoping to see it when it reaches Manchester in a few weeks too!

I'm just about to DIY some more shorts, so thought I would quickly blog about my new make-up love. The make-up brand MUA has been travelling around the blogasphere for a while now, and to be honest, I've never really LOVED the products I've picked up. Of course I realise you get what you pay for, and £1 for a concealer what can you expect?! But I've found something in the range that has really converted me.

I picked up MUA blusher - shade 6, this is gorgeous. It has a really subtle gold undertone that make a shimmery look and really highlights your cheekbones. The pink colour is lovely too, not too light or ott. This reminds me of Nars blusher I tried and looks so much more expensive than £1. Plus its on 3 for 2 at the moment, I'm tempted to go buy another three, I don't this this blush will ever get old. Perfect!

That's when you feel my kind of love.

So the weather man was wrong AGAIN, but this time it was a good thing! Somehow we are into our second week of sunshine in the North West.

Pay day was last week, so as usual I've done a little shopping, but this month could afford to spend a little more as its my birthday next week, so I'm expecting a few pennies. Too excited for the fact that tomorrow is my last day at work for 11 whole days, and will be my first holiday from work since last September. A well deserved break I think!

Got a bit of an Ebay bug last week, and purchased a few things online. My first purchase arrived today, and I'm super happy with it.

This is the perfect over-sized vest, and has a fab design. I hope we have some more gorgeous weather so I can wear this with some cute denim shorts and my converse! I got this from here for a bargain price of £5.99!

Something else I'm really pleased about, is my new foundation. Since trying to be cruelty free, I found out Revlon don't test on animals via one of the against animal testing websites. I already had Revlon Colour Stay foundation which I blogged about yonks ago, but I've been struggling to get the dregs out the bottom, so thought it was time for a new bottle. I was far too distracted in the make-up section when I spotted a new foundation from Revlon. I ended up buying Revlon Photoready Airbrush foundation, I'm really glad I picked this up. So firstly this has the weirdest consistency when it comes out. It has a foam like texture but once you spread it, it becomes a normal foundation. Because of the foamy texture this makes the foundation really light  on your face, I literally couldn't tell I had it on. I like a medium-full coverage, this is probably medium but you can build up for fuller coverage. When it is fully applied it is a very dewy but natural, so no good if your after a matte foundation. It also has a tindge of shimmer so is perfect for a natural glow on sunkissed skin!

Stars in my eyes.

I got so burnt yesterday. I actually was sensible and used sun cream but some how the sun managed to make it's way through and frazzle me. My legs were saved though as used factor 50! Sadly i'm at work til Thurday now, and I've heard it's going to start getting cooler (just in time for Jubilee celebrations, obv.) so I think I've had my share of sun probably for the year..

Anywho, we had our first bbq of the year on Friday night, then we took a road trip to Bradford yesterday for our second bbq of the year!

Veggie sausages of course!

I promised a picture when I finally got round to finishing of my DIY shorts I started a few weeks back. So here is the result.

Yey, I'm so pleased with them, and in total cost me around £3, can't grumble at that!

Tie me up.

I've literally been seeing tie-dye EVERYWHERE. I'm loving the trend and have picked up a few pieces for myself. I'm also really keen to tie-dye some of my own things (or charity shop £1 buys!) but I'm still on the hunt for a dye that hasn't been tested on animals. I've read up about using vegetables for dying, like beetroot or red onion so I think I will give that a go at some point and let you all know how it goes! My studs that I ordered have finally arrived, so when I've decorated my bleached shorts I will let you all see!

Anyway, seen as though I haven't quite got round to tie-dying my own things, I thought I would show you my pick of the best tie-dyes on the highstreet at the moment;

Shorts - H&M

Vest - Topshop

Shirt - ASOS

Shorts - Topshop

Blouse - H&M

Shorts - ASOS

Dress - Miss Selfridge

Are you loving the tie-dye trend? Got any tips for tie-dying for me?

There's no place like home.

Wow, the sun has been out for more than one whole day. I think in the North West we are on our third day of glorious sunshine!  It's times like these I don't mind living in England, I just wish it was garenteed to be like this for the whole summer. Nevertheless me and the hubby stole an afternoon together, after I escaped work at 11am for a hospital appointment. Despite being told to avoid wheat gluten (I love pizza...) it was a pretty good afternoon.

Just thought I would show you guys where I go running.. this is Wigan at its best.

Pictures from Wigan canal about 1/2 mile from our house.

Thought I would sneak this one in, for once I was the one stalking the cat.

Hope everyone is having fun in the sun!

When I grow up, I want to be famous.

I recently made a list of all the lush products I needed wanted, I know I'm sad but I have a memory of around 5 seconds. Anyway a few weeks ago I began ticking off my list. I won't bore you with everything I tried but I just wanted to share my new favourite product.

This is like the ultimate multi tasking cream. So far I've used it for my super dry hands, as a mosturiser, on my face (yes, it's gentle enough) and today I've used it as after sun! It's so yummy, kind of has the consistency of yoghurt, but I just carry it around in my bag so it's ready and waiting when I need it! And the best part is the entire £6.95 (minus VAT, I can't believe the government take from charities..) goes to supporting people who have suffered from human rights abuse. Buying this makes every one happy!

I DID IT!!

I DID IT!! Today was The Great Manchester run, in Manchester (obv). I've been harping on about this for weeks and have trained at least 3 times a week, to try and complete the full 10k. I know it's not a huge distance but this is by far the furthest I've ran. I managed to run the entire run, which I was over the moon about. I'm not sure how long it took as I forgot to check the time when I started but I will get my time from a little chip thingy that the send away. I am EXHAUSTED, plus I've had to go into work this evening too, so just a quick post of a fab day..

Happy Sunday!

They tried to make me go to Rehab.

I can't sleep. I hate that when I'm off work, no matter how hard I try, I just can't stay in bed. But when my alarm goes off at 5am tomorrow, I will be praying for 5 minutes more. I seem to wake up and think of all the things I want to do before the day properly begins. So here I am blogging at 6:58am.

I NEED to share my latest love, it isn't a beauty product or skincare but a book. In fact, three books. If you haven't heard of the 'Fifty Shades' trilogy, where have you been? My friend recommended them a few weeks back and ever since I've been hooked. I ended up picking the first book up on a whim, as it was on £3 in Asda. I am so glad I took her advice, I've literally not been able to prize the book from my hands.

The first in the series is 'Fifty shades of Grey', I won't spoil them for you but give a quick run through of the basic plot. So Ana and Christian are the main characters. Ana is a student in her final year at University and Christian is a multi-millionaire, they meet after Ana interviews Christian for the school newspaper, and there relationship develops from there. Of course, it isn't without it's ups and downs, Christian is hiding a secret and Ana won't let up until she finds out what it is.

I've just finished the first book last night, so I'm so eager to start the second. This is a definite page turner, the plot moves so quickly it keeps you gripped all the way through. This isn't for the faint hearted though, the author EL James, does write some pretty graphic sex scenes but this all adds to how fab these books are. I would definitely recommend.

One last thing..we popped to Southport yesterday, I just wanted to share this cute little (well big) book shop with you all, I was in love.

Fruit Salad.

I don't start work til 2 today, so I'm having a leisurely morning before I have to go in. I've had a yummy egg sandwich and lounged about catching up with TOWIE and Made in Chelsea (i'm a sucker for a reality show..). I'm just about to get ready to go for a run, so I thought I would do a post before I'm too knackered to type!

I've been showing a lot of love to Superdrug at the moment. I'm back on board with their beauty card and i've been raking up the points. Just thought I would share a few of my favourite products.

  • Cherry & Fig Shampoo - I was wandering round finding the perfect animal friendly shampoo, and notice all of this range was on offer. I can't remember the exact offer but I know I got this for around 75p. I picked up the one designed for fine hair, as my hair is so thin, I'm concerned I'll have lost it all by the time I hit 30. This shampoo smells lovely and makes my hair unbelievably shiny. I can't say I've noticed any difference with the thickness of my hair, but it does leave it in a fab condition.

  • Coconut & Sweet Almond Intensive Conditioner - Since boycotting all products tested on animals, I was in desperate need for a hair mask to use alongside my gorgeous Lush conditioner. This is AMAZING, this again was on offer for around the same price as the shampoo. The word must have spread fast as I went back to get some more on the cheap and my store has sold out! This without a doubt rivals the more expensive brand and does fabulous things to my locks. My hair is so manageable when I've used this. It says to used for 3-5minutes depending on how mush your hair needs it. I tend to stick it on after I've shampoo'd (obviously) and wait while lather up and rinse after I've used my shower gel. I need to get my hands on some more of this before it goes off offer, although I think it's priced under £2 full price. Worth EVERY penny.

  • Orange & Satsuma Shower Gel - Again this was on offer (I think it was like 1/2 price or a 1/3 off, something like that). I can't get enough of this. It smells exactly like the body shop orange/satsuma scented products for literally a fraction of the price. It's so lovely, you literally need a pea sized amount to create a yummy lather that smells good enough to eat! The hubby used it this morning and it's left a gorgeous citrus smell in my bathroom! Yum, yum, yum.
Any who must go run, not long left to practice! God knows how I'm going to make it round the full 10k but I will give it my best shot! Wish me luck!

I do like to be beside the Seaside.

We had a lovely day at the beach on Saturday. It wasn't the warmest of days but never the less it was sunnyish and didn't rain. We popped out to Lytham St Anne's near Blackpool. I got far too excited to see that they were holding a vintage fair in the town centre, so we checked that out. It wasn't the greatest, as I was wondering if half the stuff was actually 'vintage' but it was something to do and I picked up this cute shirt.

It's so cute and a good quality material for £3! Bargain. I got a bit camera happy in the sunshine so I will share a few photos from our day..

Lytham is such a cute town, we will definetly be visiting again if we get a Summer this year. I'm so excited for the Summer, I can't wait. I have a holiday from work in 3 weeks time (my first week off since September, that's some going) for my birthday. We're having a BBQ for the Queen's jubilee/birthday celebrations, so I'm praying the sunshine comes out!

Here's my OOTD,

Top - UO (sale)//Leggings - Primark

Hope everyone had a lovely weekend! Don't forget to check out my last post of my Blog Sale.
