I could've been a Princess, you'd be a King.

Guys, I've had some A-M-A-Zing bargains today! We couldn't really be bothered with doing anything exciting today, so we popped into Manchester just for something to do, with no intention to buy anything. We were a little cultural and went to the Manchester Art Gallery and had an explore of the city, but it always leads you back to those pesky shops!

I still had a vouchers for House of Fraser from my birthday, so I went in to see if I could pick anything up. There sale is fab. There is actually big discounts of brands and I saw some gorgeous stuff, especially in Label Lab - I love this brand. Anyway, I picked up this skirt that I'd been lusting after for a while..

Motel via HoF - £9

This skirt was reduced from £18 and I had a voucher for £8 left so it only cost me a tiny £1! I love the tie dye effect, I think this baby will be making an appearance ALOT.

Boobtube - Cow Vintage//
Leggings - American Apparel

Firstly, the boob tube. Don't ask why but I'm in love with this. It will look perfect with my denim shorts and Vans, if the sun ever bothers to show it's face. It was picked up in Cow Vintage that has literally taken me and eternity to find, even though it was under my nose all along. The boobtube was only £5 so even if the sun comes out once this year, I'll have my monies worth.

Secondly, how beautiful are these?! So they are lycra and leggings - what more could you want. I love how amazing these look on, they just hug you in all the right places and make my pancake bum look like J-LO's ass. They were also half price at £14, cheapest bum implant I've ever come across.

Lastly, I won't bore you with my love for the Body Shop cos you already know. But I NEEDED to include these items on my bargain list. So the cucumber toner was originally £4 down to £2, and the perfume was £9 down to £4.50. Then I got a whopping 40% off with a voucher code from Voucher Cloud which you show on your phone via the app, or you can use FETE12 code with your online orders. But be QUICK as it expires tomorrow. So these only cost me £3.90 in total!

What doesn't kill you makes you stronger.

This evening, sadly, I made the decision to remove my nose stud. After about 4 months (maybe?!) of having it in, I've taken it out. I've never had any problems with a piercing healing properly before, but for some reason, probs cos I knocked it ALL of the time, this just wouldn't heal. It has developed scar tissue around, which I know would go eventually but it's causing more damage than it's worth and also appears to be migrating. My nose feels so strange right now, like it's free, I can finally blow it properly!

Anyway because I've had to say goodbye to one modification, I am hoping to say hello to another. I am DESPERATE for another tattoo, but have made and agreement with the hubby to wait until he starts his new job in September so we have some more pennies. I think I know exactly what I want and where I want it which is always a good thing! I do have two other tattoos already but it's SOOOOO addictive I need want more. I'm trying to be super patient until September, maybe I'll have to get another piercing before then..any ideas?! Another in my ears somewhere I think..

All images from Google

I'm wanting a butterfly on the inside of my ankle on my right leg (yes, I've thought about this). I love all of these designs, but I ideally want one just like the last image (the big butterfly) but obviously smaller. I love the look of coloured tattoos but I don't like the idea of it fading as I know people that this has happened too. So I think I will stick with just the black outline like my others.

Let me know what you think, and maybe suggest some other places on my ears to get pierced to feed my addiction!!

To make you feel my love.

I thought I would treat myself this week to something a little more special. I really wanted to get my hands on one of the new Pandora Birthstone rings, so I popped into the Middlesbrough store while I was home. Unfortunately, when I tried the ring on, I was pretty disappointed. The stone is really big and just didn't look right on my boney hands. I had seen another ring that I fell in love with though, I'm not sure if it is from their most recent collection but nevertheless is very 'me'.

Pandora - £35

It's really pretty and petite so easy to wear everyday. I love the heart detail, it looks very delicate and feminine, I'm really happy with my choice!

Handbags and the Gladrags.

I should not be allowed to go shopping with my little sister.. I don't see her that often so when I do, I feel the need to spend money. She's going away for 2 weeks next month, for work experience in Spain (well jel..) and she needed some holiday clothes. She spent all her money in Primark, where else? And got some fab stuff, but so did I. I then paid for some very expensive jacket potatoes and some other shorts she saw and loved, how could I say no? Anyway we had a lovely day and was nice to catch up properly, just us two.

All from Primark

I love these cute sheer vest/blouse things. They are fab for the summer to just throw on over a vest top to transform an outfit from day to night. They were only a tiny £5 each in Primark's sale too, so even more to get excited about.

This belt is so cute too, it'll look perfect with my camo jacket and denim shorts. I love the stud detail it's feminine but masculine at the same time! (£3)

Lastly, how amazing is this bag?! It reminds me of bags I've seen from top designers. It is so on trend, and huge so you can literally get your life in it. They also had it in brown too, maybe I should pick that one up as well cos it's so versatile. This is my most exciting purchase of late, and for £12 you can't grumble!

I missed you.

Appologies for being AWOL the last few days, I won't bore you the details but I've not really had the time to blog. Not much has happened considering I've not blogger for a few days, I am in sunny Middlesbrough at the moment though, with my Mum's dog perched on the sofa like a cat...I would show you, but my sister's rubbish laptop will not take my Scan Disk, urgh.

Sale's seem to have appeared EVERYWHERE at the moment, which is fab when I've just been paid. Today will be the first time I can properly go sale shopping in Boro but I have had a sneek peek online and found some cute things. So here is my best sale picks..(by that I mean my best sale picks from Topshop and ASOS, cos this stupid computer will not allow me to do ANYHTING!)

Top 4 items - Topshop//Bottom 3 items - ASOS

I'm loving the fact that they have actually bothered to put 'on trend' things in the sale, usually they decide they wanna get rid of their back log of rubbish clothes and just discount them! It's nice to see a lot of summery clothes in the sales too, if your going on holiday this is literally the perfect time to shop! (But please don't tell me about it, cos I will be unbelieveably jealous and may cry.)

Oh I did have a lovely night out in Manchester on Saturday, my hangover/10 hour shift on Sunday did contribute to the lack of blogging..

The animals came in two by two.

I just wanted to share my two most recent loves. Firstly, after looking for shoes for an eternity I gave up and of course found something different to buy. Wow, there are sales EVERYWHERE, but I only purchased from H&M.

BUNNIES!! Yes, I probably looked like the saddest person in the world purchasing this in my Pets at Home uniform.. But it is just too cute. I saw the dress version ages ago but never got round to buying it, but I think the skirt is better for me anyway!

Secondly, this is the best thing I have EVER discovered..

Okay, so I found this via someones blogs (sorry I can't remember who's). Basically this is a treatment used a lot in Asian countries and common in Africa. It hasn't quite reached the UK and the US properly yet. I ordered this from Ebay, although it was posted from somewhere in England. I'm sure you've heard me ranting about having the skin of a 13 year old, I've always has acne from about year 7, I literally haven't left the house without make up since then. I have scars on my face now and only tend to get the odd pimple but it still gets to me, but this stuff seems to have cleared my skin in only a few day.

I had a bit of a break out on my forehead earlier this week - just in time for a night out tonight.. I received this on Wednesday and jobs a gooden' my skin is practically cleared. I've been using it to reduce the scar on my nose from my nose stud, and that has shrunk dramatically!

Firstly if you have sensitive skin, follow the instruction and dilute this with Vaseline. It does tingle a little, I wouldn't say stings but it is a weird sensation. It also STINKS cos of the Sulphur in it, kinda like eggs.. I use this twice a day and I'm happy to say it hasn't dried out my skin like other acne treatments, plus you can use it under make-up! A life saver!

Hey Mr Postman.

A few weeks ago I entered a give away on Roxana's blog, and guess what..I won! I am the unluckiest person EVER so this was a nice surprise, especially as she let me know on my birthday. I'm really excited to try out the products she sent, I've not tried most of them before so I'm sure there will be some reviews coming your way. So here's what I got..

Dr Organic Rose Otto Shampoo - I've spotted this in Holland & Barrett a few times but never picked it up. It looks and smells lovely, I'm going to give this a whirl tonight.

Tara Smith Conditioner - I've actually never heard of this before, but it looks amazing. Plus it's very animal friendly, as is the shampoo, so I'm happy!

Nail varnish - Arrrggghhh. I'm so in love with that Revlon polish! It's such a lovely colour. And the Nails Inc bottle is a gorgeous petrol blue, I can't wait to try these.

Body Shop Perfume - This smells really sweet but fresh at the same time. I raved about my love for Body Shop's perfume last week, this is the perfect hand-bag sized bottle so I can top up throughout the day.

Soap & Glory Face Mask - I've only ever used S&G shower gel/bubble bath and their mascara, so I will be very interested to see what this is like. All of their products usually smell beautiful, so hopefully this will be no exception.

Charm Bracelet - Finally I received a cute little charm bracelet.

I'm so happy with what I won. I've received some really unique things, and a few things I wouldn't have picked up myself. As you know I love trying new things so I'm very eager to go wash my hair. In fact I may go right now....

Popeye the sailor man.

A few months ago I came across a blog (I can't remember whos..) but nevertheless I discovered a fab recipe. Kale crisps - If you have never tried this you MUST, it may sound disgusting but trust me they are VERY moreish.

This is like the easiest thing to do EVER;

  1. Tear off the florets, toss them in a mixture of olive oil, salt, pepper and a spice or herb, I used paprika.
  2. Lay them out onto a lined baking tray, and place in an oven around 180 degrees. The recipe I followed said to leave them for 15 mins, but I've found that they actually only take 5-8 minutes depending on how crispy you want them!
  3. Remove from the oven and serve! Voila.
They are so yummy and minus the oil, are pretty healthy too. Much better than grabbing a packet of crisps, plus your getting some of your 5-a-day. You can't go wrong with that!

I ain't saying she's a gold digger.

I've gone a little jewellery crazy, these last few weeks, I chucked a load out a few months ago so I feel the need to replenish! I got super excited the other day when I saw DP was having a jewellery sale and I had a gift card for Arcadia, so off I went and got lots of bling.

All the pieces were bought from DP sale, minus the Freedom stuff (obv) which I got for my birthday from my friends! I love crosses, as you can tell so I was really excited when the things I've been eyeing up for a while were reduced. In total, of my own hard earned dollars, I spent a whole £1.50!

On a champagne supernova in the sky.

Firstly OMG did anyone see TOWIM this week? I don't know if it is just me, but Mario and Lucy's engagement was super cringey?! Probs just me with my heart of stone, but how romantic can a proposal be when it's being filmed for national TV...?

Moving on, I've been left to fend for myself for the evening. The Mr is out with uni friends, and as I've been up since 5, I didn't think I would be much fun. So I popped out to the Trafford Centre for some retail therapy and the hunt for the perfect going out dress for next weekend. I managed to find one, but I'll save that for another post. But, by the way, Zara TRF collection at the moment is AMAZING.

I stopped off at Tesco on the way home for some free-from naan bread and some cherry toms. I have no idea why I wanted this for tea, but for some reason if I'm in on my own I forget to eat, mainly cos I'm lazy, so I got grazing food. The toms didn't last long as I ate them driving back from Tesco..There is a point to this post, I promise. I saw a gorge jumper in F&F the other day, but to be honest it's "summer" and I could think of other things to spend £14 on. However, I wandered in tonight to see the jumper had gone into the sale! Wooo...so I got my lovely jumper, in a better colour than I originally saw and for only £7. And lets face it, it's not like I can walk around in a bikini right now..

I love the colour of this, it reminds me of parma violets and the dip-dyed, ombre effect is very on trend! I'm thinking this will look very cute with leggings and my Vans or some denim shorts! I'm guessing the weather isn't going to change anytime soon, so this will probably contribute to tomorrows outfit!

I fell down a deep black hole, he'd left me for another lady.

Did anyone catch Paloma Faith in her scarf transformed to a skirt last week? I can't remember what mag she was in, but I've managed to find a pic, if you missed it.

http://crystalpeaches.blogspot.co.uk
I really wanted to give this a go myself, I don't have very many floaty scarfs like this one, which I love, so I tried it with a thicker one. I do need to improve my technique and dress it up a little but you'll get the jist. I really want a gorgeous brooch to pin it together too.

Excuse my paleness, and lack of bra - oops.

Shower me with roses.

I've been looking for a mew perfume for a while. I was struggling to find one that I liked, but that was also animal friendly. The mother in law wanted a few things from the Body Shop when we went shopping last week, so I popped in and tried a few of their scents. I fell in love with Neroli Jasmine EDT, but as it was the day before my birthday I thought I would hang on and buy a bottle with my birthday money.

This proved a LOT more difficult than I anticipated. I literally hunted in every Body Shop store I could, to find they were all sold out. Eventually I began to give up, when the sales assistant explained that the perfume was being revamped and this current one was being discontinued, plus had been on promo the week before - hence the reason I couldn't get hold of any. The cashier was really helpful and offered to ring round as many stores as I could think of, but with no luck. She eventually gave up too, but saved the day when she asked if I would like her to open one of the gift sets in store that had the perfume in. So after a lot of effort and visits to many Body Shop's in the North West I finally got my bottle!

I can't really describe the smell, it's kind of musky, floraly niceness. It's not over powering but not to subtle at the same time and smells much more expensive than £9 for 30ml. It is really fab that it lasts all day, without the need for a top up. The lady explained that they are changing the make up of the scent, that's why it's been discontinued, but I really hope they don't change it too much. It's is definitely a time less classic.

Like stone turned into dust, my heart wasn't enough.

The Vintage Village was on in Stockport yesterday so we popped along. We've never been to this one before so didn't know what to expect. The fair is inside the Market place in Stockport and is held every second Sunday of the month. It was pretty big and packed full of people. I was really pleased to see genuine vintage things, instead of some vintage fairs where they try and pull off items from a few years ago, or painted furniture as 'vintage'.

I had a good look round, mainly in search of the perfect broach, unfortunately I didn't manage to find the right one but I did pick up some other things.

I picked up this cute shirt, that was reduced from £10 to just £4. I'm going to wear it over tops/dresses like a jacket rather than a top. It has really cute buttons, I couldn't get a good pic of them though! The only other thing I got was a bag of buttons, which I'm going to use to customise some clothes.

Camo Jacket - Ark//Vest, Shorts - Topshop//
Boots - Primark//Necklace - Miss Selfridge

Excuse this pic, the hubby took it (he's much taller than me!). I finally got a camo jacket after searching high and low for one. It has some velcro badges on too, very military.

For any Veggies out there...Can anyone recommend any fabric dye that isn't tested on animals cos I know Dylon are renowned for it?!
