The Body Shop Facial Brush.

I picked up this Body Shop face brush a few weeks back, with one of my Joy Cards. It only cost me £1 alongside my £3 Joy Card, and it was well worth the money.

I went into the store with the intention of buying this product after reading some reviews on Body Shop's website. The reviews raved about how good it was at exfoliating and using alongside a exfoliator or cleanser. I very much agree with the reviews and I'm so happy I picked up this little baby.

I've been using this with my Origins Modern Friction exfoliator and have found it much easier to work with because of this little brush. The exfoliator is very sticky but this brush really helps it get into the cracks and pores in my face and clean them out. I haven't just been using this with my exfoliator, but with my cleanse and polish too. It really helps to give a thorough clean and gets rid of any dead skin on my face. I've been pretty careful not using it too often as my face can become quite sensitive, but it has certainly improved my pores and skin condition, particularly around my nose and cheeks.

I tend to use it in a circular motion - much like the Clarisonic (although my hand doesn't move as fast as that). I've never been lucky enough to try a Clarisonic or anything similar so I'm unable to compare this - which I'm sure it doesn't come close but in theory does do the same thing! I'm assuming by doing this circular motion I am encouraging blood flow and massaging my face.

I'm really impressed with this lovely thing and would certainly recommend it for a a cheaper alternative face brush - especially for a milder exfoliation. I do recommend you dry it between uses before putting on the lid too.

Have you tried anything like this before?

  1. Ooo I might try this! I have a Clarisonic but for travelling & coming home with little luggage, it's very cheap too so if I don't like it, I'm not losing out :)

  5. Hi. Thanks for this review..I just started considering a brush like this. I saw of few of the moving ones recently, and I was interested in them, but also curious if a less expensive one like this would work well. Really-thanks for the info. I think I will get one :-)
