Healthy Mix New Formula Foundation.

Bourjois Healthy Mix Foundation £9.99 (New Formula)

Being a huge fan of the Healthy Mix Serum, when I heard Bourjois were introducing a new formula of the 'normal' foundation, I couldn't wait to get my hands on it. Luckily, I ran out of my Healthy Mix Serum last week, so practically ran to Boots to pick up this.

I'd only ever tried the serum, which I think is really suited to oily/combo skin if you're after a medium coverage that is really light weight. I kind of expected the 'actual' foundation to feel a lot heavier but I was pleasantly surprised. This feels just as light as the serum foundation but feels much less oily on my skin. I didn't actually realise the serum was 'oily' as such until I actually tried this. My skin is now normal/dry combination and this formula seems to work better for me that the actual serum.

Coverage wise, I would say medium to full and certainly buildable. I actually prefer this formulation to the serum, which I didn't expect as I thought the serum was going to be my 'forever' foundation - when in fact I think this will be. This is also, for some reason £1 cheaper than the serum. I much prefer the bottle this comes in too, the serum doesn't look as pretty on my dressing table as this one does!

I love how fresh faced I look after applying this and the coverage is amazing literally ALL day. If you're wanting a dewy finish, I would still recommend this foundation but just hold off the powder, I prefer a more matte finish so I use a pressed powder to set my foundation for the day. I would recommend this foundation 100%, especially if you are after something a little lighter as we move into Spring!

Have you tried the new formula?

  8. I was trying to decide whether I should be going for this or the serum as I wasn't sure which skin types they suited, so thanks for clearing that up! Going to have to grab this at the weekend as I'm bored of mine!

  12. Hello,
Thank you for your review about the Healthy Mix new foundation. I bought it a couple weeks ago ( shade 51 vanilla) and I'm really fond of it. I'm amazing, I liked my Deam mat mousse (Gemey Maybelline) but this one is a very good foundation for my oily but sensible skin.
    Greetings from France.
