Kiehl's Bloggers Event.

Last Tuesday I attended the Kiehl's blogger event in Selfridges. I was really excited to learn more about the brand and their newest product Skin Rescuer. We were given a few glasses of Champagne and talked through the history of the brand and the unique new product.

I was quite taken a back to be told Kiehl's has in fact existed for over 160 years - that's a sign of good branding. It initially set out to be a apothecary and began to evolve over the years to eventually become the brand we know now. Although Kiehl's does focus on skincare they do have a range of hair care, which I certainly like to give a go. We were shown some of the best selling products that the brand has, one being the Creme de Corps which is a body lotion loved by celebs and footballers. One of the other best sellers was the Midnight Recovery Concentrate, which we were given a sample of to try - it smells divine. We even learnt a few beauty tips and tricks, apparently you should always exfoliate on dry skin, upwards towards your heart. According to Kiehl's staff this gives you a great colour and improves your circulation!

We also had a little chat about their newest product Skin Rescuer. This is a moisturiser come stress-buster for skin. The design behind this product, like all of Kiehl's products, has been made after a lot of market research to see what people actually want and what is already available. It's all very technical how it works, but basically it protects your skin barrier from the damage stress can do to the skin. For instance, if you get red patches on your skin when you become stressed, this is deigned to eliminate them, along with many other signs of stress. We were very kindly given a full size bottle of the Skin Rescuer to take home and try, so when I've given it a good go I will do a full review. We were also provided with a few other things to try out, I particularly like the Ultra Facial Over-night Hydrating Masque, I put it on a few nights back then woke up to very soft and supple skin - I even forgot to apply a moisturiser!

You can pick up Kiehl's Skin Rescuer and their other products in Selfriges, Manchester.

Have you tried anything from Kiehl's?
