Diptyque Dupe.

I am OBSESSED with candles, in fact that is probably definitley an understatement. I've been pining after a Diptyque candle forever, but I still haven't parted with the cash (I'm secretly hoping they will be reduced after Christmas...wishful thinking!). I heard a while back that Muji do some Diptyque dupes, and for a fraction of the price I needed to try. After smelling all the scents Muji had to offer, I settled for the Feu de Bois or Log Fire scent - this is very much a dupe for the Diptyque offering with the same name.

The candle is in a cute little tin, which to be honest, I'm not the biggest fan of - I much prefer the glass jars but I can get passed that. The candle colour is an exact match for it's more expensive cousin and pretty much smells exactly the same when it's unlit. I say this because I've never lit a Diptyque one but I imagine there can't be too much of a difference. There is something very comforting about the smell of a log fire. I didn't grow up with a log fire, but for some reason the scent still makes me quite nostalgic and makes me feel right at home. I love that this smells exactly as it says on the tin, burning wood, campfire, happiness. In fact, it is a quite wintery scent but it kind of reminds me of BBQ's in the summer too when the days are long and warm-ish and you're spending time with those that you love.

I'm really pleased I finally picked this up, and for £3.50 it's well worth the money, in my opinion. Maybe one day I will finally own a gorgeous Diptyque candle, but for now I'm more than happy to sit back, relax and dream of log fires and family times with my dupe.

Have you tried any candles from Muji?

Katie xx

  1. I'm so desperate to try this! Feu de Bois is my fave Diptyque scent and my candle is on it's last legs but I can't afford to replace it! I do love the glass jars it comes in, but I can totally forget that for having the same smell for just £3.50! x x

  2. Oh my gosh, this sounds like it smells absolutely amazing! I really miss the shop that used to be in Nottingham, if it were still there I'd pop in and buy one of these!
