Skincare Add-ons.

Last week I featured my skin care regime (post here) but I didn't feature my additional skincare products that I use a every other day or a few times a week. So today's post is going to showcase a few of the products that are still a huge part of my skincare life.

Face Masks

Origins Drink Up Mask - I love this mask, especially during the winter. It smells incredible, like oranges or peaches (?!), it has a gorgeous creamy consistency and just makes my skin feels super plump. I generally use this as an overnight mask, after being informed by the Origins lady that it is exactly the same as the overnight mask, just not as thick. This does a great job of giving me that fresh-faced look.

Una Brennan Tea Flower Deep Clean Pore Purifying Clay Mask - That was a mouthful! I can't explain how much my skin loves this. I'm not an oily skinned person, but my skin does have little breakouts every now and again and my pores are pretty huge. I've tried the Origins clay mask and I see no where near the results I see with this mask - plus it's half the price. This mask is amazing to use on an evening as I find the results generally come the following day. This calms my breakouts like nothing else and literally leaves my skin glowing. I will never be without this mask - it's a guaranteed pick me up no matter what.

Moisture Booster

Heal Gel Face* - This is actually marketed as a anti-aging serum rather than a moisture booster. However, this is packed full of Hyaluronic Acid which is renowned for carrying 1000x it's weight in water. Thankfully at the moment I don't 'need' this product as an anti-aging formula but I certainly need it to add an extra boost of moisture. Not only does it have 'good acids' it's also stuffed with Omega oils and seed oils, that not only make my skin feel amazing but they also see to the needs of dehydrated skin. I usually layer this under my moisturiser to make it work just that little bit harder.

Hands & Nails

Clarins Hand and Nail Treatment Cream- Strictly speaking this isn't 'facial skincare' and this also doesn't fit into the category of 'products I use a few times a week' - in actual fact I use this product twice a day, every day. The reason I've included this is because the hand and nail treatment is a step in my everyday routine, I apply this immediately after I've done my skincare routine, morning and night. I love this product, it has well and truly changed the make up of my brittle nails and I can now wear nail varnish without it chipping after ten minutes. This leaves my hands feeling incredibly soft and very happy and for that reason I feel it needed a mention. I already have a spare bottle on stand by!

  5. I definitely need to start including a hand and nail treatment into my beauty regime as my hands have been so dry recently and even started to crack. I will keep an eye out for the Clarins cream next time I'm shopping I think :) x

  7. The tea flower clay mask is so nice! I just used this today and it definitely soothes my skin. I also love the Origins overnight drink up mask - it must be an intensive version of that one? But it's so lovely! My skin looks so glowy and healthy in the morning.
