Sugar Free Snacks: Almond Butter Bark.

I have now entered week two of quitting sugar and I'm pleased to say, so far so good. We've been experimenting with foods a little more and I think we are both much more aware of what's in our food, which can only be a good thing. We've tried a few of the recipes from the I Quit Sugar book and this Almond Butter Bark is one of my faves.

This is super easy to make and requires no baking. I've messed around with the recipe a little and tried adding cashew butter and my latest invention is adding pumpkin seeds for an added crunch. This is great to keep in the fridge as a little snack when I start craving something a little sweeter. Plus it's a quick and easy way to get nuts and coconut oil into my diet. The perfect sugar-free snack for a sugar addict.

You can find the full recipe here.

  1. I am totally a sugar addict too! I just completed 4 weeks without sugar, though!! It was NOT easy by any means, but I definitely think it was worth it in the long run. I now don't feel like I NEED to have sugar in my tea, and I've started (just today) using like a teaspoon of coconut sugar on oatmeal as a breakfast alternative as well. Here's where you can find my series about it if you want to check it out: http://thedancegrad.com/the-no-sugar-challenge/
