I was having a quick browse in Boots last week on the hunt for a new mascara, I ended up picking one from Collection, which lead me to checking out the rest of the range. I don't often look at the make up when it's on 3 for 2 because I know it's no good for my bank balance. But on this occasion I just could help myself, so along with my mascara I picked up two lip butters.

The first product I found was the Moon Rock lip butter from Collection's new Galactica range (£2.99). I really wanted to try one of the new Maybelline lip pencils but the colour I wanted was out of stock, but I found these butters to be a pretty similar shade. Moon Rock is a slightly more brown colour than Cappuccino with a  more metallic finish. The texture is lovely and smooth and both of these butters really do live up to the buttery name. Moon Rock for me is a night time shade, that would look perfect with a smokey eye.

Cappuccino from Collection's Work the Colour range (£2.99) is slightly more sheer finish. This really feels like I'm applying a lip balm to my lips which is perfect for this time of year. I love the colour of this, which is the perfect pinky-toned nude and it really does complete that no make-up look. The thing I love the most about this shade is I don't need a mirror to apply, it blends so easily and effortlessly I can apply on the go.

Finally I've picked up on of the Essence lip liners. I've been meaning to try a lip liner as an all over colour for sometime, so when I spotted the Essence ones were only £1 I thought it was a good opportunity. I've been applying this all over my lips to leave a pretty pink matte look. I love the staying power of this and the pigmentation is amazing for the price tag. Something lovely about applying lip liner all over, means you have amazing precision too!

What have been your latest budget find?

  4. The lip butters look gorgeous I love using anything in the form of a crayon, it's so much easier to use than a lipstick I think xx
