Being a student I'm always on a tight budget, so when I find essentials that I love for a tiny price I get very excited. Here's a heads up of a few of my favourite everyday essentials, that are well worth picking up.
First up Dove Oxygen Moisture Root Lift Spray - £3.99 (on promo), okay this is a little bit of a cheat but I can always find this on offer in Boots or Superdrug. This stuff is great if you have super fine hair, like me. I spray on towel dried hair, massage into the roots and dry as normal - hello super voluminous hair. Another hair product I can't be without is Batiste Dry Shampoo - £1.99. I've tried many dry shampoos but I always come back to the original and the best, plus this scent is really lovely.
Staying with hair care, I've recently been trying out the Boots Sensitive Expert Shampoo for dry and itchy scalps - £3.49. You know I suffer with crazy dry skin at times and this shampoo really does help to relieve some of the tightness and flaky scalp. This has no scent and lathers nicely and actually does a good job at cleaning my hair. This is great if you suffer from dry scalps but Head & Shoulders is a little too harsh.
Another Boots own purchase is the Zinc and Castor Oil baby cream - £1.60. This stuff is incredible for dry eyelids. It's really thick, has no scent and is really delicate on my sensitive skin. It's packed full of oils, which we all know are great for the skin and my skin adores the stuff. I've never been a big fan of Sudocream but I imagine this will do a similar job on broken skin and spots. Zinc is incredible for healing the skin, this is certainly worth a shot.
Finally a product that isn't discussed that often - deodorant. Dove Original Bar - £2.49 is a product I certainly couldn't be without. I hate roll on deo and spray doesn't really agree with me, but this stuff works like a dream and protects my pits all at the same time. Yey for simple things.
