Life Lessons Before 25.

Me and my Daddy

It's official, in less than three weeks I will be 25, a whole quarter of a century. Where does time go? It feels like only yesterday I was sitting my English GCSE on my 16th birthday (FYI worst present ever). If I think back ten years ago, I have grown so much, learnt so much and made many mistakes. But every moment has led me to where I am today, and I'm pretty happy with that. Here are a few things I've learnt in my almost 25 years on this wonderful planet.

1. Friends come and go, you won't stay in touch with everyone and that's okay.
2. When it comes to make up, less is always more.
3. It's okay to have a duvet day, every now and again.
4. Whatever you're stressed about will pass.
5. Sometimes you need to let your guard down.
6.Your soulmate may pop up when you least expect it.
7. Not everyday has to be planned within an inch of it's life, go with the flow sometimes.
8.Having 'you time' is so important.
9. No make up days are the best.
10. Savour those days you can have a sleep in.
11. You will never feel like a 'grown-up'.
12. Nights in are just as good as nights out.
13. Listen to older people, you can learn so much.
14. All your hard work WILL pay off.
15. There is no set path, if it doesn't work out try something else.
16. A degree isn't the be all and end all.
17. Set realistic goals.
18. Say YES more.
19. Your biggest regrets will be things you didn't do.
20. If you can't master the perfect eye liner, just bin it.
21. Look after your skin.
22. Use social media wisely.
23. Your tastes will change, move over rom-com.
24. Life will always find a way to surprise you.
25. Be you, it's okay to be a little different.

  1. This is nice to read. Growing up I've learned so much and everything you say is so true. I've not done much of what I'd like to do yet and sorting my career out is way up there, but I'm still clueless to what I want and I'm 24. So bad! x
