As you may have guessed I've become somewhat of a book worm recently. I've set myself a Good Reads challenge for the year and I'm pleased to say I'm very much on track. My latest read has been the new YA book from the fabulous Sophie Kinsella, Finding Audrey*.
The book follows Audrey and her struggles with mental health issues and generally growing up in her teenage years. There is some really serious underlying discussion in this book, but Sophie writes in such a way that you will laugh out loud and find yourself completely relating to Audrey and her family. I've discussed my own mental health situation with you all and with that in mind I found myself nodding along with Audrey and completely immersing myself in her day to day life.
However, if it still doesn't sound like your kind of book, there is of course a little romance running through.
This book completely took me back to my school years and reminded me how difficult being a teenager can be sometimes. I'm pretty sure anyone whose lived through high school will be able to recognise some of the struggles and feelings Audrey has throughout the book.
I would completely recommend this if you're looking for some light reading with a serious and relateable story line running throughout. Kinsella has done it again.
