Living in the North West means we are pretty accessible to two big motorways. We are guilty of only exploring little bits of our surroundings, however we thought we'd spread our wings a little more and head up north to Hebden Bridge. We've been to Hebden Bridge once before, over a year ago and forgot how much we loved this little quaint town. It's a free-from paradise, which means for once, there is pleanty of choice of eateries for me.
The weather was on our side and although the sun wasn't out, it was pretty warm and very pleasant for a walk around the cobbled streets. We searched in the cute charity shops and even stumbled over a YSL suit for £40 - unfortunately it was a size too big for the hubby. We did manage to pick up a few book bargains though.
I was spoilt for choice (for a change) as to where to eat. We settled on an organic cafe, with plenty of gluten free and dairy free options. I headed straight for the burger in a GF home made bread with some yummy fried potatoes. For dessert I spotted a cute vegan bakery and managed to grab my self a DF/GF brownie that was as good as it looks. I even sneakily went back for a second to take home.
I know we will be heading back towards Hebden Bridge soon to explore that area of the World a little more. We certainly need to be a little more adventurous with our days off together, so hopefully this is the start of really investigating where we live.
Have you been to Hebden Bridge? Do you know any more cute places near me?
