Lock House.

I will be honest, I've always been a little snobby about staying in a BnB. I trust hotels and know exactly what I'm getting but for years my hubby has been trying to persuade me to try something else. I can officially say I've been converted. This is the second time we've booked through Air BnB and I'm totally on board with it now. Mr A has left me to it and I've chosen the BnB I like and then contacted the owner, which is surprisingly nice. I like being able to speak to the owner before hand and know exactly who's house I'm staying in.

That brings me to this incredible BnB in Branston (yep, where they make the pickle!). We wanted a night's stay away before going back to work and settled on exploring the Peak District. I chose the gorgeous Lock House, which is situated right on the canal. It really couldn't have been more idyllic, we had an incredible stay. We managed to find food on foot too, which was lovely to spend some time outside. We walked two miles to the canal marina and had a delicious meal - yes, that is is GF and DF pizza..yum. The best part? It's £68 a night.

This isn't a sponsored post, I just wanted to share our wonderful stay and my new favourite app. Next Air BnB stop is Madrid!

  3. Wow gorgeous post! The scenery and where you stayed is so pretty. Lovin’ the photos too, you have a photographic eye. I think I would be a bit the same about B&Bs but I can see why you had such an amazing experience. Thanks for sharing and have a great week! :-) xx

  4. I know what you mean about being a bit snobby about staying in B&Bs, I usually go for hotels too (I don't know why because as a kid I always stayed in B&Bs with my mum and dad, we stayed at a lovely place in Blackpool and I still remember the people who owned it they were called Dave and Margaret, random bit of info for you there haha). This has inspired me to at least consider a B&B next time I book to go somewhere :)
