Wednesday mean only one thing..it's GBBO day. I am incredibly excited about tonight's episode cos it's all about free from baking - which FYI is pretty damn tough. So with all that food excitement I thought I'd bring a food-related post to you all.
Last weekend saw Bolton Food and Drink Festival return to town, which had surprisingly, lots of free from options for me. Bolton has the biggest and best food festival that I've ever been to in England. This year marked the 10th anniversary, which meant there were extra stalls and so many tasters to give a try. We also bumped into Mr John Torode from Master Chef, he was filming at the festival so I took a sneaky photo!
Mr A didn't end up getting lunch as he was full from all the different foods to try, but I opted for vegan and gluten free onion bhajis which were so good. I then of course, had to have a strawberry meringue for desert - it was huge and just the right amount of gooeyness. I even manged to pick up some gluten free tortilla wraps for when I want to fill myself up with Mexican food. On another note I'm pretty obsessed with tacos at the moment...
If you're ever in the North West on August bank holiday I would certainly recommend popping to the food festival, it's easily the best thing to happen in Bolton.
