A few weeks back I embarked on a crazy Amazon order, on a desperate hunt to find some Korean beauty products. I've heard about Bubble Clay face masks from a few people and I was dying to see what the hype was. So I popped this mask from a brand called Milky Piggy into my basket.
The mask was £10 for 50mls, which I thought as pretty reasonable considering how difficult it is to get Korean beauty products in the UK. Plus a little of this super thick mask, goes a long, long way.
The consistency initially is gooey and really lovely to apply. It's a lot thicker than most masks I've tried and comes with a little spreader in the lid. Within a minute or so the mask begins to expand and creates a really strange bubble effect on the skin (as you can see from the scary photos!). I must say the bubbling can be a little distracting and tickles your face, but it all adds to the fun of the mask.
The instructions for the mask are in Korean so I've just gone with what I've seen other people doing. I let the mask do its thing for around ten minutes, then pat it down into the skin before washing it off.
The mask leaves my skin incredibly soft, smooth and bright. I love that it doesn't have the same drying effect that I get with some clay masks and it doesn't leave my skin with that horrible right feeling.
If you're looking for a fun and exciting beauty product that actually works, I would definitely recommend trying out this mask. It's certainly inspired me to try some more Korean beauty products!
