The Prettiest Drugstore Nude.

I've been eyeing up the new Rimmel Kate Nudes since they arrived on our shelves, so when I spotted they were on offer for £3,99 each in Superdrug I knew I wanted to pick one up. Lipstick is easily my guilty pleasure and despite my make drawer overflowing, I obviously had to grab a bargain while I could.

All of the Nudes range are so pretty and nude shades are my go-to everyday colours.  After swatching all the shades in the store, I settled for shade 45, which is a gorgeous pinky-toned brown. This colour is just perfect for that minimal make up look and is a shade that can be easily applied without a mirror.

The formula of the lipstick is really creamy and comfortable on the lips. I think these feel really moisturising and don't dry out my lips, which is a bonus. It applies evenly and smoothly and easily rivals some of the high-end lipsticks I own.

I will certainly be picking up a few more of the new Nude collection from Rimmel. Have you managed to get your hands on any of the colours?

NYC Wardrobe Wishlist.

Untitled #84

So I'm heading to New York for the first time next month and I am so, so excited. In my mind I'm going to be channelling my inner Blair Waldof and wandering round NYC in some pretty amazing clothes. But in reality I will be wearing approximately 75 layers and wrapped up like an Eskimo.

I'm not sure we considered how cold it will be at the beginning of February but I thought I'd write up a post of all the clothes I'd love to wear for wandering around New York.

I'm completely obsessed with this pink cord jacket with fur lining. I think this would look super cute with a denim skirt and knee high boots.

The burgundy pinafore is just perfect and would look incredible with a long sleeved basic top and this fur scarf (which I may have ordered...).

I'm pretty smitten with these navy ankle boots which probably aren't the most practical choice of footwear for sightseeing but they are so pretty. Maybe I will actually have to invest in something a little more sensible, but a girl can dream...

Have you ever been to NYC? Send me your recommendations of things to do!

A Gorgeous TKMaxx Find.

When I'm in search of a new candle, my first stop is always TKMaxx. I popped into my local store to be pretty disappointed by the small selection on the shelves, however after a few minutes I did spot a very pretty box, housing a gorgeous copper candle.

This candle is actually from a brand called Chloe and Lola, which after a little research appears to be an Australian company. This is the Tribal candle in the scent French Pear and Gardenia, which is a light, floral but sweet scent, that isn't sickly in the slightest. I really like fresh, clean scents so this is perfect for me and is a welcomed changed from the Christmas scents from the last few weeks. I've set this candle out in my dining room and I can smell it as I type, despite it being unlit.

The candle has such a stunning finish and looks as through it would be super expensive. This was actually only £6.99  - an absolute steal. I'm going to be keeping my eye out for any more from this brand, they're just too pretty to pass up.

A Very Indulgent Sale Purchase.

I have to admit I was pretty disappointed with this years Boxing Day sales. I had money burning a hole in my pocket and I just couldn't find anything to buy. After browsing the internet sales we headed into Chester for the day and I finally managed to pick up some bargains. As well as my Lush sale purchases I also got a very exciting buy from Space NK.

The online sale for Space NK was rubbish but I was pleasantly surprised when I popped into store. I managed to grab the final Aromatherapy Associates Ultimate Bath Jewels bath and shower oils. The set contains all 10 of the bath and shower oils that AA make.

I've never had anything from this brand before but I've heard so many amazing things. I can confirm these oils are pretty incredible. I was advised by the sales assistant to only use a few cap full of the oil per bath and to use it after the bath has finished filling up. The small amount immediately fills the room with a gorgeous fragrance, which is perfect for having a good soak after a long day at work. I can be super stressed after work and using one of these oils really helps me relax after a hard day.

The set was initially priced at £56 prior to Christmas, which was then reduced to half price and I had some N.dulge points to spend so this worked out just over £20 - an absolute steal. If you're looking for something a little more indulgent, I would 100% recommend trying out some of the Aromatherapy Assosciates range

Did you manage to pick up any sale bargains?

#ReworkedWardbrobe with ASDA.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

I thought I'd start 2016 off with a cheeky outfit post. I was recently asked by George at ASDA if I'd like to take them up on their #ReworkedWardrobe campaign. I was challenged to pick a summer dress from their range and rework it with some more winter-suitable items.

I went with this gorgeous, bright aztec style print smock dress, which is just the most flattering shape. I thought this could be quite easily transitioned from summer to winter, with the addition of some good thick tights and other winter accessories.

I teamed the dress with this cropped, faux fur gilet which goes with absolutely everything. This has actually been reduced in the sale to £15, which is an absolute bargain. This feels like it should be so much more expensive, the quality is fab. I know I will get a huge amount of wear from this little number.

The final addition to my reworked wardrobe, was some knee high, slouch boots. These are super comfy and a great length on my tiny legs!

So that's my #ReworkedWardbrobe ready for the cooler months. Although I still have my fingers crossed for no snow, unless it's when I'm in NYC of course!
